My current artistic practice is a combination of collaborative direction and devised theatre facilitation. To me, a director or facilitator isn’t the most important person in the room or the person with the best ideas or the most intelligent. They are just the artist who happens to be holding the container of the process. My guiding principle is to create an open, safe, non-hierarchical, and egalitarian environment in which brave collaboration can flourish. I employ this methodology regardless of whether I am working with an existing script or if I’m creating new material.
